More important events like Hamilton attract 30 to 35% of all sales from outside Spokane.

Spokane, Washington – The Spokane entertainment industry takes a hit with slower tickets than normal.

Even some major shows fill less seats than expected.

The two -week Hamilton race here at the first interstate center is over, and fewer people than expected were in the room when it happened.

It is greater than real production, but the projection of Spokane in the history of the life of Alexander Hamilton did not have the great participation rate you are waiting for.

It is a trend that the city’s entertainment industry is felt all year round.

Matt Meyer of the Public Facilities District (DPI) noticed the drop in ticket sales.

“Once we entered the new year, January, we have seen a slowdown in ticket sales,” said Meyer.

Meyer says it is common to feel a pinch after the elections, but this year was very tight.

“We are referring to the uncertainty of the economy and the moments in which we are at the moment,” said Meyer. “Honestly, in the past two weeks, I have lost four shows at the arena.”

Inflation, prices, other budget hooks and losses largely due to a loss of tourists from our neighbor to the north.

More important events like Hamilton attract 30 to 35% of all sales from outside Spokane. According to Meyer, around 10% of Canada.

“Right now, you can’t expect them to go down and watch a program on how the United States has been trained and the government behind it,” said Meyer.

Meyer says that the PFD has redirected part of its objective towards marketing and writing different acts. Industry is not yet panicked.

“We are starting to watch these little shows where it is easier for them to get up, go out and go on tour,” said Meyer. “Not only the place, but even the artists wondering where everything will land.”

There is the optimism that summer will bring more visitors and cationers to Spokane and its shows.

PFD reports that the big outdoor comedy festival, which should go on stage in August, is already sold better than last year.
