Syracuse, ny – Suny College of Environmental Science & Forestry invited researchers, teachers and students to rally and discuss the importance of scientific and environmental research at college in the face of frozen federal funding and imminent cuts.
The name of the rally was “in defense of science, in the defense of the ESF”. It was held by the professions of the University of United and coincided with Earth Day. Conversations have taken place on the way in which federal subsidies freeze and the potential of permanent cuts have an impact on their work and their research.
The ESF is looking for the effects of climate change, heat in urban areas, elimination of wastewater ammonia to be used as fertilizer and more.
Those of the signs of rally who read: “Science saves us”, “We are here because of science”, “support the sciences”, “essential science forever”, “there is no plan B” with an image of the earth and many others.
Several dozen people attended the rally. He had several speakers.
