Pass Christian, Miss. (Wlox) – In the city center to pass Christian on Davis avenue, you will find Robin’s nest in the collarA company deeply rooted in the family, faith and inspiration.
“My mother would always say that we all have a gift, discover yours and share it with the world,” said owner Dorothy Roberts.

Dorothy opened the gallery gift shop in September 2015.
“About 10 years ago, I decided to open this store, the small gift shop, and I named it Robin’s Nest in the pass after my sister Robin, who loves the Christian pass,” said Dorothy.
Many know Dorothy’s sister, Robin Roberts, from Good Morning America and ESPN, but she also worked at Wlox in the 80s.

“The family is very important in terms of support; they come to pick you up when you might feel a little low,” said Dorothy.
The company named Dorothy’s name celebrates creative spirit and love for the city.
“It came because I had made jewelry for about 10 years and I sold it in festivals, and I said that it would not be cool to have my own little place where I can also support other artists and manufacturers of consignment jewelry,” said Dorothy.
Dorothy Roberts is also doing his business to present the Mississippi Gulf Coast in several ways.
“We only buy pillows that have sentences because you can get a pillow with a lis flower anywhere, but if you get a flower-of-Lis that says Christian ” or` `I like Louisiana ”, these seem to do better for us,” said Dorothy.
Dorothy says that the choice of reliable staff is just as important as the inventory, possibly crossing paths with Jenny, who is store director.

“We try to keep everything together, like all our greeting cards, our candles made by hand, all our hats,” said Jenny. “I try to facilitate the task of the staff because they go back and forth as soon as customers leave to restock, so we try to give meaning for them.”
While Jenny keeps everything in order in the nest, Dorothy is often busy next to it Roberts Place Café.

“What allows you to succeed, especially during the first to three years is working capital,” said Dorothy. “Restaurants are small number one businesses in the United States. Things break, and items are expensive, such as refrigerators and freezers. I have already traveled two ice machines. ”

And throughout the coffee, Dorothy honors her father and mother.
“When people come here, I tell them they are in mom’s room,” said Dorothy. “People also like this plaque,” the price of the woman and the exceptional mother “, that is what Dad has given mom when he retired, and these are only things she has done in her life to inspire, raise and motivate people.”

Dorothy also works with regional artists whose work is exposed to the purchase throughout Robin’s nest.
