He and his family went to Sunshine Coast for the weekend and while the ferry left Langdale in time, after only a few sea kilometers from the terminal, the ferry broke down.
“They said that once the tug has arrived here, it would be about 40 minutes from the terminal,” said Rezel.
The boat was arrested for about three hours.
Rezel said some people on board had flights to take and others have meetings, so there are frustrated passengers.

BC Ferries said the two ships supporting the Langdale (Sunshine Coast) and Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) road are almost 50 years old.
“As ships age, maintenance becomes more frequent and more complex – strengthening the importance of our long -term fleet renewal strategy to improve reliability, add capacity and better support growing demand,” said a spokesperson.
Recently, BC Ferries Commission has approved that four new ships be built to replace four of the current ships. BC Ferries initially requested the approval of five.
