Ava Politis | Team: Softball | Event: Series of three games against Harvard University
Last weekend, Dartmouth softball took a series from the University of Yale to improve its record at 10-5, proposing them second in Ivy League, just behind Princeton University. The Harvard University will come to town this weekend for the last series of the Big Green season. With another series of conferences to play after Harvard, the Big Green season ends almost, and the Ivy League tournament is fast approaching.
The Big Green qualified for the Ivy League tournament last season and should have no problem winning a place this weekend against Crimson. Inner field player Faby Serna ’27 – The Ivy League week player on April 16 – ended the series against the Bulldogs on a 22 -game sequence on the basis and a sequence of seven games. It does not seem likely that Harvard ends this momentum.
Jensin Hall ’27 was on fire this weekend while she opened the series against Yale by launching a full match allowing an unprecedented race. Hall returned to the circle on Sunday and launched its second career without a safe blow.
Hall has no intention of slowing down at the end of the season. With its pitching force and Serna’s consistency, Big Green should have no problem defeating Crimson and hit a ticket for the Ivy League tournament.
