Riata Center announces finalists for 2025 business plan competition

The Riata Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship kicked off Oklahoma State University’s 2024-25 winter break with some exciting news for student entrepreneurs.

The center announced the finalists for the annual Riata Business Plan Competition on Tuesday. These students will present their projects in elevator pitch on January 24 to a live audience, receive expert feedback and have the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in scholarships.

Open to OSU students of all majors, the competition promotes entrepreneurship and small business development by showcasing student-created, managed and owned businesses. Each application competes in one of four tracks: Main Street Lifestyles, Social Enterprise, Big City High Tech or Rising Entrepreneur, which is aimed at former Business Plan scholarship recipients, regardless of the track.

In the first round, students submitted summaries of their projects.

The following participants qualified for the final.

Main Street Lifestyles

Social Enterprise

  • Prograte Capital Ventures – Kevin Kuteesa, Muwanika Jdiobé
  • Nutreco Salvor – Shivanshi Agarwal, Hari Rroopesh
