Renew our rivers
The cleaning of volunteers renewed Our Rivers (ROR) in Smith Lake (County of Winston) is from April 17 to 18. Cleaning supplies will be provided. For more details on cleaning, contact Jim Eason in msgjeason@yahoo.com. Ror is a national campaign national from Alabama Power in 2000. Since his departure, more than 134,000 volunteers have withdrawn more than 8,450 tonnes of waste and rivers, lakes and streams in four southeast states. Fest of Monteallo Arts
The Montevallo Arts Collaborative will have its annual Fest of Montevallo Arts in Orr Park on Saturday April 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., artists and craftsmen will align the park to display and sell their fine arts and their beautiful trades. Paintings, drawings, wood and metal works will be available for purchase. The festival will offer live music, culinary cabins and children’s activities. Entrance is free. Crayfish festival
The Festival des Flévisses returns to camp in Midcity in Huntsville on Saturday April 19 for a day filled with crayfish, complete bars, sellers and catering truck options. The performance is Funky nation of Big SamBig fellaz brass band, FILE-PIEDSCamacho and others. To find out more, click here.
