Akola: Three young people from the middle class, in order to have their “easy lifestyle” on social networks displayed, snatched a bag of a 73 -year -old man on Thursday evening.
Thakurdas Nagwani (73), a resident of the Sindhi camp, Akola, filed a complaint at the City Kotwali police station saying that on April 10, around 9:15 p.m., two men were snatched and fled with his bag while he was going through the Kholeshswar area on his word. The bag contained RS13 500 in cash, 8 US $ 100 tickets and important documents.
The investigation revealed that although the three accused had middle class history, they wanted to pose like the rich and the wealthy on social networks. To display a pretentious lifestyle of glitter and glamor, they wore costly brand clothes, shoes, glasses and even underwear, some were worth RS1,000 each. Police said the accused’s shoes were at the price between 5,000 and 10,000 rupees. To be able to finance this lifestyle, they chose a shortcut – vol. Their strategy was to identify people with large sums of money, follow them and steal them while keeping their face covered to hide their identity. Their content on social networks has shown them cycling with friends, wearing luxurious brands and pretending to be rich.
Kotwali city police fell for the case and arrested the accused within 24 hours of crime. The police recovered 13,500 cash rupees, a value of 70,000 rupees and two motorcycles used in crime. The cumulative crisis is evaluated at RS1,83 Lakh.
Based on advanced images and video surveillance, the detection branch of the city of Kotwali has identified and detained Manoj Ludere (20), a resident of Bapunagar, Akot File, Rohit Ingole (19), a resident of Malkapur and Ansh Patekar (20), a resident of the colony of Banjara, Balode. When they are put to intense interrogation, they admitted the crime. One case under the 309 (4), 3 (5) sections of the IPC has been recorded.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Superintendent of the Police Bachchan Singh, the SP Abhay Additional Dongre and the Sub-division Police Officer (City Division) Satisfy Kulkarni. The key members of the investigation team were Pi Sunil Kinge, PSI Balu Pawar, Hawaldars Ashwin Sirsat, Ajay Bhatkar, Khwaja Shaikh, Kishor Yeul and the Nilesh Bunde police police.
