Wausau, Wisconsin (WSAW) – Newschannel 7 learned that Sanford Health releases dozens of employees in the Marshfield clinic in Sanford Health. No use of patients in direct care is affected.
In a statement sent to Newschannel 7, Sanford Health says they are determined to invest $ 500 million in the Marshfield clinic region over the next five years. At the same time, his organizations have sought means to settle for the future when they continue the integration process. The merger between Sanford Health and Marshfield Clinic has been completed at the start of the year.
96 employees in total with the company will be dismissed or repositioned in Sanford Health. We do not know how many people who affect in the Marshfield region. These are shared services and employees of the health plan representing not only the Marshfield Clinic and Security health plan, but Sanford Health and Sanford Health Plan.
The employees below the director level received 60 days notice. Their last day will take place on June 10. Employees with a higher director and roles were laid off immediately. We do not know how the 96 employees are divided between the two categories. Marshfield Clinic says they provide support for affected employees. Eligible people are encouraged to explore other jobs in Sanford Health.
They added 20 new positions for the health plan.
