Shanghai (Gasgoo) – On April 7, the Chinese manufacturer of energy vehicles (NEV) Leapmotor announced an in -depth strategic partnership with the company Lidar Hesai Technology (“”Hsai“”), marking a new phase in their collaboration on intelligent driving solutions.
As part of extended cooperation, Leapmotor should buy around 200,000 Hesai units‘STX LIDAR sensors, which will be installed on several models produced en masse from 2025. Hesai will continue to serve as a leapmotor‘S Exclusive Lidar supplier, providing advanced perception technology for the automaker‘S driving aid systems.

The partnership will see Hesai‘S Atx Lidar widely adopted in Leapmotor‘Vehicles in series B and C to come, considerably expanding the brand‘S Intelligent driving capacities and accelerating the traditional adoption of intelligent driving technologies.

Leapmotor experienced a strong sales dynamics, delivering 293,724 vehicles until 2024–Increase by 103.8% in annual sliding. This momentum took place until 2025, walking alone, seeing deliveries reaching around 37,000 units.
Hsai‘S Lidar Compact with high resolution at high resolution is based on the proven platform with a one-dimensional scanning architecture which provides structured punctual clouds and great reliability. With Hesai‘S Fourth generation chip architecture and improved optical and laser receptor modules, the ATX obtains a powerful compact design and high performance balance. Since its launch, the ATX has been selected for dozens of production models by 11 car manufacturers worldwide, with deliveries of volume already underway in the first quarter of 2025.
