Items found near the house where a A terrifying invasion of domicile took place in Parksville, British Columbia, Indicate a troubled life for the man arrested on the scene.
On March 25, a man broke his car through the garage door and entered the family’s house where he would have wrapped a chain around the owner’s neck and threatened to kill the occupants. The incident ended when the police arrived and took the man.
A few hours later, a neighbor walking his dog found a belt of tools in the bushes with the name of a man and the phone number on it.
The neighbor, which Global News does not identify for security reasons, said that he had called the number and finally contacted the mother of the suspect, who told him that his son had disappeared for 20 hours. She did not reveal where he was missing.
The name and number were that of the suspect.

The Insular District RRC confirmed that the violent incident was an invasion of random domicile and there was no link between the suspect and the owners. Global News does not identify the family due to security problems.
The RCMP said the suspect was apprehended under the mental health law and taken to the hospital.

Another neighbor also discovered several objects near the crime scene, which were given to the police.
The articles included a brown file, with “sobriety of early stage” and “June 2023”, written on “10 mg of Abilify”, which, according to the manufacturer of drugs, is used as a complementary treatment for adults with major depressive disorder when an antidepressant alone is not enough, among other uses.
The suspect, Robin Nicholas Wakeling, 32, faces seven accusations, including a breakup and an entry, assault with a weapon and threats to cause death or bodily injury.
Wakeling is expected to appear in court in Port Alberni on Tuesday.
