Two seniors from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Haslam College of Business have received national recognition of poets & quants for undergraduate students. The publication named Diamond Maria Clark and Timothy held his 100 best and brightest undergraduate commercial majors on the 2025 list.
Now in its 10th year, the list pays tribute to 100 majors in senior affairs that have had important impacts on their programs and personified the best of their courses. To compile the list, the poets and the quants invited the schools of its First cycle top 50 participate.
Diamond Maria Clark: academic excellence and financial sample
“I am incredibly humiliated to be selected as an adult in business the best and most brilliant, especially among the many talented and workers with whom I studied and that I watched throughout my stay at the Haslam College of Business,” said ClarkA major in finance from Memphis. “As I progressed in college, I was continuously inspired by the campaign, the intelligence and leadership of the elders before me, which makes this recognition even more significant.”


Throughout his stay at the UT, Clark regularly excelled in class and beyond. She maintained a GPA of 3.82 while being involved in many organizations and activities on campus.
Business teachers praised Clark for his analytical skills, financial flavor and innovative thought. During her junior and senior years, she managed MCCLAIN FUND, one of the four investment funds managed by students within the college Torch program.
Clark was co -chair of the diversified organization of trade students and as a defender of the community progress program at the college access office and community connections. Thanks to Clay and Debbie Jones Center for Leadership and Service of UT, she was an inaugural member of the volunteer Impact Academy.
After graduating in May, Clark will start her career at JP Morgan, where she did an internship in 2024. She thinks that the UT prepared her well for the next chapter of her life.
“Thanks to rigorous courses, practical learning experiences and invaluable mentorship of teachers and peers, I have acquired a world class foundation in finance and business,” she said. “By entering opportunities to maximize my education, grow as a business student and serve as a volunteer, I feel confident in my ability to take up any challenge and transform obstacles into opportunities.”
Timothy Held: Automatic learning and leadership
“Being nominated and selected is such a great honor, and having the opportunity to represent my college, my community and my university means the world for me,” said DetainedOriginally from Cleveland, Tennessee. “The Haslam College of Business gave me skills, opportunities, experiences, mentors and friends who have changed my career and my life trajectory, and I am very grateful for all those who have invested time and efforts to give me a chance to grow and make a difference.”


HELD specializes in business analysis, supply chain management and data science. With a 3.89 GPA, he distinguished himself on the school plan as a member of Haslam Leadership Scholars – the most prestigious undergraduate program of the UT – and the Melton scholarship Program, which links exceptional students to commercial analysis and statistical teachers to conduct university research.
Beyond the class, HELD has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills. He was president of the ALUMNI Associates student, as a member of the student advisory council of the provost and the Haslam Student Advisory Council, and as the main ambassador for the college.
The teachers welcomed his technical prowess and his problem solving capacities, which served him during the internships with the Tennessee Valley Authority, Dell Technologies and the male basketball of the UT. As a project for researchers from Melton, he has developed an automatic learning model to predict how the best university basketball players would occur in games.
Hénéra graduated in May and will enter into the master’s degree in mastery in science in business analysis of 10 months of the UT this summer.
“I had four years of transformational at the UT and I became the person I am today because of the people here,” he said. “I learned to get out of my comfort zone and develop solid and new relationships. I feel prepared today to enter a new environment, to be a vocal and active leader and to be a proud and noisy flight for life. ”
