I agree with Dylan Hernandez very insightful column Regarding the next visit of the team to the White House. Dodgers have long been leaders in different ways and by not refusing to go to the White House, they essentially light up the very petty intimidation tactics of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. What a shame.

Please reconsider a visit to the White House. In the names of Jackie Robinson and the O’malley family, do not put the stain on one of the biggest Dodgers championships of all time.

Dylan Hernandez, you are wrong. Period. Your efforts to politicize baseball and the Dodgers decision to accept the honor and the privilege of attending the White House have no place in the Times sports section. Your article on the question is full of prejudices and your efforts to classify dodgers fans like Trump Haters are poorly served and degrading. Sport is a place where a fan should, hopefully, escape political prejudices and rhetoric. The Dodgers have won the privilege of being invited to the White House, a place of great historical importance for our country. Put your personal prejudices aside and let them enjoy their day.

It is so pathetic to see how everything is rabid political these days. The hateful Trump hate dodgers for visiting the White House, but Stan Kasten said it well: if they visit, 50% of people will be upset, and if they do not visit, the remaining 50% will be upset. Coaches and players who want to attend should go there, and those who do not want to skip it. Do you always want to hate dodgers if some of the players are Trump supporters? Remember that it is the “land of the free house of the courageous”.
