Fort Lauderdale / Davie, Florida. – The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship of the University of Nova Southeastern selected Cherilyn G. Murrer, JD, CRA, founder, president and chief executive officer of the furniture group, as a new president of the Council of Governors of the College.

“Cherilyn’s understanding of regulatory, strategic and financial problems faced by health care and higher education will serve college and its students in these transformation times,” said Dean Andrew Rosman. “I can’t wait to work with her, and I want to thank the outgoing president Paul Sallarulo for his solid leadership and his significant contributions to the success of our students and our community.”

The Council of Governors of the College was created to initiate a wide range of leaders in the progression of the mission and vision of the college and finally develop business leaders and innovators who will have an impact on the graduation.

Murrer is a sought -after educator whose emphasis aims to help her customers navigate the complex regulatory, strategic and financial problems faced by health care today. With national clientele, murder consultants represent major multiple health care systems, university medical centers and major group practices of doctors focused on strategic positioning, consolidation and acquisition, regulatory compliance and financial management.

“I am delighted and very grateful for this honor,” she said. “We will do exciting things together while the Business and Entrepreneurship College continues to grow in stature and relevance, on and off campus.”

Murrer will be the main speaker of this year on June 6 for the College of Business and Entrepreneurship and the College of Psychology. She will also receive an honorary diploma from NSU.

The murder has long been an active voice in the progress of quality and profitable health care. She obtained a doctorate from the lawyer with distinction from the Northern Illinois University and improved her history of law with her previous operational experience as director of rehabilitation medicine at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Murrer replaces Sallarulo, president and chief executive officer of Nexera Medical Inc., developer and distributor of antimicrobial textile products worldwide. Sallarulo has a long financial career in capital markets and investment banks, occupying management positions from January 1990 to April 2006 with Raymond James, Wachovia Securities, Prudential, Meridian Capital Markets and Corestates Capital Markets.
