The owner of the sinking McbargeA former McDonald’s floating for Expo ’86, has not yet been found.
In a declaration to Global News, Transport Canada said that he was trying to find the owner of the ship, who flowed in the Fraser river at Maple Ridge.
The organization said that even if it was trying to find the owner, a progressive application approach is applied, which will take longer if the ship has no significant risk.
The Canadian Coast Guard said that the MCBARGE does not seem to be an environmental or security risk, which means that it could be some time before it is recovered.
Transport Canada said that it is currently assessing and monitoring seven ships in the Fraser river to ensure that they are in accordance with the destroyed, abandoned or dangerous ships.
