Like Clockwork, spring fever strikes me every year from early February.

Now that it is officially spring and I can start my windows again, my eyes are officially fixed on the events of spring and early summer in the county of Lancaster.

Here is what this entertainment journalist has on his calendar.

– April 4: “A nice Indian boy.”

This is almost a rule that if Jonathan Groff, from Ronks, is in a new film, that residents of the County of Lancaster should see him in support. Not that I would need very convincing for such a sweet, Naveen Gavaskar (Karan Soni) trading brings his boyfriend to the house, Jay Kurundkar (Groff), to meet his traditional Indian family. Look at a trailer here.

– April 6: “An afternoon with AS King.”

It’s so cool that we have a double winning writer of Printz who lives in Lititz. As a king, known for books like “Dig”, “The Collectors” and “Chick the Lock”, will visit Nooks on April 6 to talk about writing and creativity. My partner is a whole English and writer in its own right, so I can’t wait to see King and ask him a few questions.

– April 12: Cherry Blossom’s annual festival from Marietta.

Marietta is one of my favorite cities in the county of Lancaster. It is a small river town, but it still celebrates importantly. His annual Blossom cherry festival has everything for me who makes an event fun. It has a manufacturer’s market, it has live entertainment on three stages, it has many food sellers installed and, not to mention, its magnificent cherry blossom trees on Front Street. It is on my calendar every year.

– May 9-10: Herb & Garden Make the Landis Valley Museum.

Although I am not 100% sure that I can attend, it’s high on my list. Although I have lived in Lancaster City for 11 years, Landis Valley Museum remains on my list of buckets to visit. His herb & Garden doing annual always looks so fun. More than 70 plant sellers will be present, and visitors can enjoy a variety of live entertainment, including musical performance, garden demonstrations and workshops. My partner and I love plants, and it could be a wonderful way to enjoy the museum too. Win-win.

– June 13: “Tulle queer” exhibition at West Art.

Brady Pappas, from York, who uses pronouns, is constantly inspired by me. Pappas has an ongoing art exhibition called “Queer tulle”, which generally has only one spectacle per year but offers a variety of new photos each year. It is a celebration of the LGBTQ + dynamic and lively scene of the South Pennsylvania. Pappas photographs prominent figures in the LGBTQ + local community, adorning them in tulle fabric. In A previous interview with LNP | LancasteronlinePappas described how to use tulle fabric to make people feel confident about their self -image.

– Not dated: Longwood Gardens Trip.

Each year, my partner and I visit Longwood Gardens towards Christmas to watch the pretty lights and special exhibitions. And each year, we judge that we will visit in the spring. Longwood Gardens, nestled in the County of Chester, is an enchanting garden of 1,100 acres which has the impression of having been drawn directly from a fantastic novel.

– Not dated: Mount Gretna Lake & Beach Trip.

As a rule, when my spring fever begins to get into play, I imagine a soft day to wade in the waters of the wonderful beach of Lac de Mount Gretna. We always make a little picnic and eat sandwiches in the grass before our water adventures. It always recalls a school excursion, except that I am an adult now, I can stay in the water as long as I wish – as long as we go out early enough for a post -SWIM trip to the Jigger Shop, which has a bizarre and tasty ice.
