Jenner & Block, the former law firm of the former prosecutor of the Robert Mueller team and current legal analyst of MSNBC, Andrew Weissmann, filed a complaint against the Trump administration, calling Trump Executive decree targeting the company “An unconstitutional abuse of power against lawyers, their customers and the legal system.”

“Order threatens not only Jenner, but also its customers and the legal system itself. Our constitution, from top to bottom, prohibits government attempts from punishing citizens and lawyers according to the customers they represent, the positions they defend, the opinions they express and the people with whom they associate themselves, “indicates the trial.

Trump has targeted several law firms who have employed people who, according to them, have targeted it in recent years, notably the former cabinet of Mueller Wilmerhale, Perkins Coie and Jenner & Block.

“These orders send a clear message to the legal profession: ceasing certain representations unfavorable to the government and renounce criticism of the administration or undergo the consequences,” wrote lawyers to Jenner & Block in the trial. “Orders are also trying to put pressure on businesses and individuals to question or even abandon their associations with their chosen lawyer and to cool legal challenges.”

The cabinet wants a judge to block the application of Trump’s decree and the unconstitutional judge.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
