Tuesday, Kakao Entertainment launched his community platform for fans, Berriz, to compete with the Bubble de Cher U de Hybé and SM Entertainment.
The platform was beforehand on March 6 with Antenna singer Jung Seung-Hwan, while the official launch on Tuesday features the group of Girls Recruit by Starship Entertainment Kiiikiii, who made his debut on Monday.
The official community of fans of the next MBC drama “Crushology 101”, which is based on the Kakao webtoon series of the same name, will also join Berriz in April.
The new platform will aim to attract fans not only from K-pop, but also artists in other genres as well as webtoons, musicals and other Korean entertainment, according to society.
The community of fans of Kiiikiii currently offers a notice section, which includes events of fans panels and group announcements, as well as a page where group members publish photos and SMS and a community where fans can write messages and talk to each other.
The artists of Kakao Entertainment and his subsidiaries, alongside idols from other agencies, are ready to join Berriz, according to the company.
Kakao said that the name of the platform refers to the fact that the bays “become softer and more fruit, the more they are gathered”, in the hope that fans, artists and content will form a fruitful vineyard.
The application is currently accessible on Desktop, iOS and Android.
