Stonehill just scored the most points of the entire season. They simply couldn’t be stopped on Wednesday as they easily defeated Lesley 97-53. The game was decided at halftime, when the score had already reached 57-22.
Stonehill broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outscored their opponents in this department as Lesley only struck out five.
Meanwhile, Boston College’s recent rough patch got a little tougher this past Saturday after its third straight loss. They fell 72-66 to Wake Forest.
Despite their defeat, Boston College saw several players rise to the challenge and make remarkable plays. Elijah Strong, who scored 18 points, may have been the best of all. The dominant performance also gave Strong a new career high in three (four).
Stonehill has performed well recently as they have won four of their last five matches, which significantly improved to 6-5 this season. As for Boston College, its defeat dropped its record to 6-4.
Stonehill came up short against Boston College in the teams’ last game in December 2022, losing 63-56. Can Stonehill avenge his loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll know soon enough.
