Wearing panels reading “No More femicide” and “Justice for Tori Dunn”, a small crowd gathered before the new Westminster courts where the man accused of having killed a woman from Surrey, aged 30, appeared on Friday.

“We recommend change justice System in Canada and this province, “Aron Dunn, Tori’s father, to journalists told.

“Tori was a nice person who lived her best life, she lived in a beautiful house and she took care of her own business, sleeping on her sofa.”

Tori was seriously injured in an apparently random attack in his Surrey house on June 16, 2024 and died in the hospital.

Adam Troy Mann is accused of second degree murder in his death.

Aron thinks that the young successful entrepreneur, who had a landscaping company, was killed in a home invasion after returning home after celebrating the birthday of his fiancé.

Since the death of Tori, Aron has become a vocal defender of the reform of justice, calling for more severe sentences and the stricter bond rules.

“Tins like this continuously arrive at our community and nothing happens.”

The publication prohibits Global News from reporting on the details of what happened by the court on Friday. The case is back in court next week.

Mann remains in police custody.
