Move abroad looking for a “better life” has long been a common aspiration for many Indians. However, does life abroad really meet the expectations that people first left before leaving their homeland? A man from Delhi who moved to Canada believes the opposite.

By relying on social networks, he expressed his regret as his decision to migrate, qualifying the whole experience a “scam” and urging others to reconsider the left India. His article, shared on Reddit, said that international students were faced with questions such as unnecessary diplomas and a bad balance between professional and private life.

“I regret to move to Canada”

“I regret to move to Canada,” says the post. “Every day, I see people in India dreaming of moving abroad, believing that there are better opportunities. But let me give you a verification of reality. I live in Canada, and that’s not what it seems.

He also urged his Indian colleagues to stay in India, citing the country’s economic growth and improving opportunities. “India is growing and opportunities are improving. If you work intelligently, you can build a big life without sacrificing your mental health, your family and your dignity. The West sells you an illusion, but once you arrive here, you realize that you have been washed by the brain. Do not fall for the trap-stand in India, invest in yourself and build something significant at home. ”

A message that divided opinions

The position has become viral, which obtained a significant traction on Reddit. While some users have sympathized in the point of view of man, others firmly defended their decision to migrate.

A user replied: “I understand that some people have trouble, but Canada gave me a big life. This is how you adapt.”

Another wrote: “Backing an entire country for your experience is unfair. Many of us have built a successful life here.”

A different user has struck, “unnecessary degrees depends on the land in which you are. Search before moving!”

Meanwhile, another comment said: “Not everyone is adapted to life abroad. If you miss the house, it is on you, not the country.”

A user Auesta: “India grows, of course, but can it offer the same work culture and infrastructure as the West?”

Another pointed out: “I will not lie – Canada has its drawbacks. The cold is unbearable and the jobs are not easy to find.”
