With the current spring sports, the blue zone highlights different teams and their achievements. This week, we take a look at the impressive victory of Duke Women’s Lacrosse against Clemson n ° 9:

While most of the campus was preparing to relax for the spring holidays, the Duke female stock was locked in the road competition of the season. After spending most of their match against n ° 9 Clemson dragging by a certain number of points, the Blue Devils n ° 13 have managed a miraculous Fourth period return for a 12-11 victory.

While the match against the tigers was preceded by a dominant 16-9 Victory against Xavier and a tight conference earned 11-9 to Notre DameDuke had a series of difficult defeats to start the season. The first was a heartbreaking loss for Johns Hopkins – such a dominant school in sport that the athletics program usually division III plays in division I. Seeking the revenge of a 17-13 defeat against the Blue Jays in 2024Blue Devils Lost in overtime after having fought tooth and nails to stay in the competition.

To make its early schedule even more difficult, the opening of the Duke conference took place against the Boston College n ° 1, where the Blue Devils received a 19-10 Rout by the Eagles.

Just unless Saint Patrick, some can attribute this impressive upheaval to luck. Blue Devils have experienced a number of difficult past seasons. In 2023, Duke won only one ACC match, and in 2024 went only 4-5 at a conference. However, this road for Blue Devils was anything but lucky, and was rather built on a solid basis of grain and team chemistry.

“We have very good leaders who understand that the chemistry is really important, not just in the field, but out of the field,” said head coach Kersten Kimel.

Whether transfers or new first -year students, Duke has added a number of new players to his list this season. Although it could have slowed down the domination of Blue Devils, Duke took the change of stride. Kimel has effortlessly mixed old and new players, allowing Blue Devils to stand in one of the most competitive conferences in sport.

Harvard Transfer Callie Hem played a decisive role in the victory against the tigers with five goals and nine shots in his name. The Duke Mainstay Senior Carly Bernstein also had a stellar season with a top of eight points against Johns Hopkins. Bernstein was recently appointed to the Tewaaraton Prize monitoring list, one of the most prestigious prizes in the university stock.

After a series of road matches that closed with a 16-11 defeat against Virginia No. 15, Duke will finally be able to play at home again. The Blue Devils welcome Cal Friday.
