Katey Sagal Discuss her first impression of her daughter on the screen.
The actress behind Peggy Bundy thought about work with a teenager Christina Applegate on Married … with children During the last episode of Messy podcasthosted by the Anchorman star. “I never thought of Little Christina like” Little Christina “,” said Sagal to the Cohost of Applegate Jamie-Lynn Sign. “And it is in a way a mixed bag. First of all, she had maturity beyond her years, so I would say in the” Old Soul “category.”
Saga explained that she sometimes wanted Applegate to not be so adult. “There was also part of her that I wanted to be little, to be an innocent 16-year-old,” she said. “Because what I learned about Christina – first of all, she had worked much more than I had worked. I had worked as a musician almost in my life.”
The actress said her daughter on the screen had many more acting credits than she had done. “There is Christina with all her experience,” said Saga. “I always felt a lot like Christina grew very quickly and I had a feeling of maturity about her which was beyond her years. And as I said, there was a part of me who had the impression:” Oh, I want her to be a little girl too. “”

Saga also noted that Applegate was extremely different from her character and that she had taken responsibility for their youngest Costar, David Faustino. “I also thought that Christina was extremely brilliant, very intelligent, playing Kelly Bundy, who was not the brightest bulb,” she said. “But she (was) very brilliant, you know, very funny, very nourished with David. I mean, I thought she really took care of David. And, I mean, there is so much, again and again.”

You had lived a lot of life and many scars and things had happened. And now you were on this side of the force. And I needed it. I needed this so bad in my life, a stable person. And you comfort me to comfort myself, that I would always feel safe.”
