Winter sports athletes will be recognized at the meeting of the March 11 School Board

The Edmonds School board of directors should recognize the district winter sports athletes at its meeting on March 11.

Sports director Angie McGuire will present exceptional winter athletes from each high school. Sports include boys and girls fight, swimming and basketball.

The board of directors should also organize a second reading and vote on the advisability of approving the revised policy 6970 schools, installations and teams, as well as the use of school mascots, images or logos.

The proposed updates specify that the new buildings and district installations will be appointed according to the geographic characteristics of the area where the installation is located.

There is also a single reading and voting on the contract of $ 531,854.03 with Great Western installations for the project of equipment of elementary playground Hazelwood, which will be paid by the 2024 obligation.

The meeting will start at 6.30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 at Educational Services Center, 20420 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood, WA 98036.
