“I’m just a little protective.”

Hollywood loves reboots, but there’s one show Ray Romano would like to leave alone.

It seems like every week we learn that a beloved series is being revived – Scrubs And Friday evening light are just two of the last – which often means that the project is populated by other actors. Yahoo Entertainment spoke with Romano and his No good deed co-star Lisa Kudrow and asked if there’s a show they’ve worked on that they don’t want to do given the reboot treatment.

“I’m just a little protective of Everyone loves Raymond” said Romano while promoting his new series No good deed. “Just because it was very personal to me.”

“GOOD, Yeah” Kudrow agreed. “You can’t do that.”

Romano starred in the hit sitcom from 1996 to 2005.

“I mean, it was based on my life and I was so much a part of the creative side and everything,” he explained.

Romano said he I don’t mind when other countries, like Indiaadapt Everyone loves Raymondbut he doesn’t “want it to be rebooted in America.”

“I actually like the fact that it’s rebooted there because it just shows how other cultures – we’re all the same,” Romano continued. “So it’s good to see them enjoying it.”

Kudrow, meanwhile, had a slightly different view. “I don’t know, I think it’s okay,” said the Friends said the star. “Reboot whatever you want.”

Romano and Kudrow play husband and wife in Netflix’s new dark comedy. Despite the shot Friends And Everyone loves Raymond “300 meters apart” in the 90s, they have only just met. Kudrow told Yahoo that working with Romano was “a dream of mine that I didn’t think would come true.”

“I’m not kidding. That’s not hyperbole,” she said. “I would watch him in something and say, ‘See, that’s who I’d like to work with, oh my God. He’s so good.'”

No good deed begins streaming on Netflix on December 12.
