Unpredictability has long been one of the presidents Donald TrumpThe strongest assets. The following uncertainty is one of its most confusing.
From financial markets to foreign capitals, a new feeling of Trump’s boost has reverberated around the world this week, raising if His trade decisionsUkraine Aid or Federal labor are rooted in strategy or impulse.
“Listen, our country was scammed by everyone,” Trump said on Friday. “It stops now.”
The seventh week of his presidency was scripted as being triumphant, with a Address at prospective hours to a joint session of the congress intended to rally the Republicans around its program. But the week was rather dominated by what Trump did, not just what he said, especially in the inversion course on the prices.
One day after having imposed them in Canada and Mexico, he retired, nodding to the best car manufacturers in the country by granting a stay of a month.
A day later, his decision to go back, delaying even more prices from Mexico-Canada sent the financial markets to a state of confusion down.
“I do not even look at the market,” said Trump on Thursday in the oval office, an assertion that attracted the roles of the eyes of his advisers and admirers.
Whether Trump examines the stock market or not, the market looked at him – destroying most of the gains made since the November elections.
Despite all the planning in which Trump and his advisers committed themselves during their four years of power – the preparation of a series of decrees, writing detailed plans to considerably reshape the federal workforce and even more – the first week of March also presented a new reminder that all presidents increase or fall on the way they respond to the challenges outside of their immediate control.
For Trump, it seems the most obvious with regard to the economy and the war in Ukraine, where his efforts to end the war began with the invasion of Russia came with support in the United States for kyiv and heating himself up in Moscow.
If the action outside and suddenly on the prices has sent actions plummeted and the executives rush, it does not seem to disturb Trump.
Indeed, Friday, the president had once again fired, threatening a new price of 250% on Canadian dairy products which had not been mentioned by himself or for anyone in their hours of interviews and press conferences on the prices of the previous week.
The dairy problem is that which the president raised directly with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a telephone call this week which, in his words on social truth, ended “in a” a little “friendly” manner.

It turns out that the quotes around “somewhat” were doing a lot of work. The call, at times, has become very controversial, said officials at CNN, while the leaders exchanged blasphemies and raised votes to assert their arguments.
There may have been a repressed anger. Trudeau was trying to have started Trump for days before new prices of 25% had to come into force, but his calls had not returned.
As Trudeau emerged to directly inform “Donald” that his prices were a “very stupid thing to do”, it was clear that the relationship between men was toxic and generally irreparable.
The managers of the White House took shade to the occasional reference to the president by one of his counterparts and have already started to look for a moment in the near future where Trudeau will no longer be Prime Minister.
Trump’s call with Trudeau did not immediately lens on the prices, but the next day he had given way, Signs an extension Until April on new functions.
New tensions have emerged this week at the White House on Elon Musk and its work in the Department of Effectiveness of the Government while agencies are jostling to finalize their reorganization plans before March 13, the next phase of its efforts to put federal employees and reduce the government.
Several members of the cabinet complained of a lack of autonomy within their agencies as they fight with Musk’s efforts to reshape the bureaucracy. The Republicans of Capitol Hill, responding to the indignation of their voters, also expressed their concern about the deep cuts in their communities and chaotic benefits.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio was among the members of the cabinet who have bridled some of the actions taken by DOGE, officials said in CNN, fear that he has shared with his former colleagues in the Senate.
The State Department was one of the agencies that asked its workforce not to take into account the request of Musk for employees to justify their employment by responding to an email on the level of the government detailing five things that they have accomplished during the week.
During a close meeting this week, where Trump asked his office to “keep all the people you want, all those you need”, Rubio and other members of the cabinet have tangled musk on competing visions to cut the government, officials told CNN. Trump on Friday, minimized any disagreement, which was reported for the first time by the New York Times.
“No confrontation, I was there, you are only a troublemaker,” said Trump, referring to a journalist from the oval office who asked questions about the meeting. “Elon gets along very well with Marco, and they both do fantastic work. There is no conflict.

Trump clearly indicated that he approved the wider vision embraced by Musk, who was part of the small pocket of advisers who went on Air Force on Friday evening to reach the president in his seaside resort of Mar-A-Lago in Florida.
The unleashed conflict in Ukraine frustrated the president after his self-imposed deadline to end him for a day following his entry into office and came.
He mainly expressed his resentment to Ukraine, especially during last week’s crash in the oval office which led President Volodymyr Zelensky to leave the west wing.
After Zelensky’s dust last week, some Trump officials doubted in private that there was a way to repair the leaders’ relationship. Many of Trump’s best supporters have publicly suggested that Zelensky should resign. And Monday, the White House said it was Military assistance in Kyiv, with her by emerging later that Intelligence had been partially interrupted too.
But behind the scenes, US officials had been behind with Zelensky and his team, stressing the importance of stabilizing relations with the White House as soon as possible, urging Ukrainians to put conferences on the right track before the President’s speech at the Congress.

Among those who contacted Zelensky were Trump’s Ukrainian envoy, Keith Kellogg, a source familiar with the discussion. The warning was quickly followed by a Zelensky conciliation position on Tuesday morning in which he called the “regrettable” oval office meeting.
Efforts seemed to work.
Tuesday evening, Trump looked open to reconciliation. He read with pleasure the message of this morning of Zelensky during an address in the congress. On Thursday, talks were organized between American and Ukrainian officials for next week in Saudi Arabia.
“He estimated that Zelensky’s letter was a very positive first step,” Trump’s Middle East, Steve Witkoff on Thursday. “There were excuses, there was recognition that the United States has done so much for the country of Ukraine and a feeling of gratitude.”
Trump also angry at Russia on Friday, but briefly, writing on Truth Socially that he was ready to impose new sanctions if Moscow continued to “beat” Ukraine.
But the moment seemed ephemeral. A few hours later in the oval office, he said that Russian president Vladimir Putin held “all the cards” in the conflict, and said that he was understandable why he hit Ukraine so hard.
This was more in line with Trump’s typical rhetoric, at least during the last month, which strongly favored Moscow and sometimes even reflected the points of discussion of the Kremlin, while denigrating Ukraine and its leader.
