However, the crunchy grocery chain made waves on Tiktok for a different reason: a hack of intelligent drawer which claims that some facilitate products that are easier to reach. Although the point is cool, we are there to encourage you to leave the professionals, that is to say the employees of Trader Joe, who are probably the only ones who will have to reach the drawers to start so far.
The hack that was initially poster By the user of Tiktok, @_lovejeff_, to many fanfare reveals that some of the trader joe’s shelves keep their inventory are in fact drawers on metal tracks which slide easily with the slightest push. His reasoning behind this hack is that it makes items easier to reach, so you don’t have to go dig at the back. But this logic collapses quickly when you realize that Trader Joe’s generally does a good job to keep their shelves filled with food, which means that it is not necessary to push the drawers to reach the back. In addition, Trader Joe’s keeps its shelves organized by product, so again, it is not necessary to reach what is perfectly stacked at the front of the shelf, because it is the same thing behind.

Why you shouldn’t use this trader hack Joe

Trader Joe’s employees who saw the Viral Tiktok video quickly pointed out that it was not as much a hack as it is a design feature to make the shelves easier to store. The problem with the fact that customers take out the shelves by themselves is that it can actually make the aisles quite narrow more dangerous – especially if customers do not take the time to ensure that the shelves are safe.
So make a favor for everyone and do not test the amplitude of the drawers at your local Joe merchant. You are not likely to be in trouble for that, but it is not a good label of grocery store.
