An entrepreneur from British Columbia experienced a meeting on fauna once in life this week when a dolphin cosse hunted him when he was shooting a video on his personal motorcycle.
Jerry McArthur, founder and CEO of The Hydroflyer, designs and sells the electric surfing boards that hover over the water and were on one in Howe Sound, north of Vancouver, with a friend on Monday when he noticed nearby Dolphins.
McArthur says he decided to give the dolphins “a large berth” to avoid contact, but the animals have noticed and swam.
The man of British Columbia says that hydroflyer – essentially a personal hydrofoile – rises about a meter above the water when he moves, and that allowed him to see around 20 dolphins swim and jump around him.

The whole meeting, which McArthur captured on video, lasted about 20 minutes.
There have been a certain number of close meetings between humans and maritime mammals in recent months in British Columbia, including a case in December of a sea bout following surfers and climbing on a surfboard despite the attempts of people to avoid contact.

Another incident in December saw a sea wood on Highway 4 from Lake Kennedy near the island of Vancouver, disturbing traffic until it is brought back to water.
For McArthur, the experience remains surreal even a few days later.
“All I could see below me are dolphins,” he says. “They actually turned around so that they could (could) look at me and see what is going on.
“I thought in a way … Maybe I should worry that one of them strikes me, because they jumped next to me and all that. But after a little while, I realized how competent they are and agile in the water. So, I just returned to do my own thing, and they just played and danced around me all the time.
McArthur had designed the hydroflyer as an alternative to other personal motoromarins to create fewer disturbances on the surrounding marine life, and joked that the meeting proves the proposal for the value of his product.
“They really seemed to love aluminum foil,” he said. “We always try to make the press and pass the word in the company, and we have done a lot of different things. But this one seems to really resonate with people. »»
