THE Delaware Estuary Science and Environmental Summit took place from 11 to 12 February 2025 in Wilmington, del. Since 2005, this Summit of Biennial Sciences has brought together scientists and environmental professionals, researchers and leaders to discuss the problems with the Delaware River Estuary has been faced and work with potential solutions.
This year’s science summit presented more than 70 posters and in person presentations to environmental subjects ranging from threats to ecosystems and drinking water from pollution to increased access to outdoor spaces and climate resilience.
The summit is organized by the partnership for the Delaware estuary. Since the first years of the summit, DRBC staff have been involved, providing presentations on DRBC water resources management efforts, moderating sessions and simply being a participant, learning what others do in the estuary and seeking collaboration and partnership opportunities. This year was no different.
