Red ink, tax cuts, debt payments: protruding facts of the Alberta 2025 budget

The province filed its 2025 Alberta budget THURSDAY.

Here are some of the strengths:

• $ 5.2 billion in deficit with deficits in next two years
• Debt supported by taxpayers to reach $ 93 billion
• Debt costs at 3 billion dollars
• Overall expenses up to more than $ 79 billion with more money for contingencies, prices and disasters
• Kindergarten in the 12th year spends up to nearly $ 10 billion
• Land taxes of education increasing by more than 6% for owners at home and the company
• $ 26 billion for fixed assets, including schools, hospitals and other health establishments and highways.
• $ 1 billion for individual income tax reductions.
• $ 106 million over three years for revitalization of the city center of Edmonton near the Edmonton Oilers Arena
• Individual income tax revenues fall to $ 15 billion, corporate tax revenue at $ 7 billion
• Moderate population growth but always increasing to 2.5%
