The prices should take effect on March 4, a date on which Trump has repeated several times in recent weeks.
These prices were among the first floating following the re -election of Trump last November, the president offering 25% tariffs on Canadian goods and 10% on energy exports.
But Trump’s comments saying that prices would take effect in a few days is not the first time that he has made such comments, only for modifications to be made at the eleventh hour.

In the days preceding Trump’s initial plan to impose prices on February 4, the president seemed to show no factory sign.
