Havote with Connie Britton

To launch the WVC 2025, Connie Britton will go on stage at the Oceanside Ballroom, level 2, to welcome the participants. Britton will participate in a moderate Q&R by Heather Prendergast, Chairman of the Viticus Group Council. Britton is best known for his roles in television shows Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story, Nashville and The White Lotus. Britton is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Program which recommends the eradication of poverty and the empowerment of women. The event is sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim and open doors to participants at 8:00 am with the event from 8:30 am.

The Wild Wonder Showcase led by Critter Fixers

WVC Day 1 will end with the Wild Wonder showcase. The event, sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, will be organized by Terence Ferguson, DVM, and Vernard Hodges, DVM, of the successful television show Nat Geo Fixers Critter: Country veterinarians Who will direct the crowd through a night full of contortionists, acrobatics and more art of performance. Then, the show will showcase Popovich Comedy Pet Theater, led by Gregory Popovich, which will highlight the talents of more than 30 rescue animals. The doors of the event will open at 7:00 p.m. and the show will go from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event will take place in the Oceanid ballroom, level 2.

Reception of veterinary technology

On Monday, March 3, a reception of a veterinary technician will be organized in the last place of the Mandalay bay event, Swingers Crazy Golf. The event will honor the invaluable contributions of veterinary technicians. The event is sponsored by Zoetis and Purina and the guests are authorized, but must be 18 and over.

Ludacris!

The last night of WVC, the Viticus group welcomes Ludacris on stage. The concert is sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim and the doors will open at 7:30 am with the show officially from 8:00 p.m. Ludacris is a multi-plain artist better known for his “stand up”, “Get back”, Southern Hospitality ”and“ Money Maker ”hits. Conference badges are necessary for entry and seats are limited.

Sunday March 2

Water quality for veterinarians

On Sunday March 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:50 am, Jessica Sanders, DVM, DABVP (Fish Practice), will explain to participants how to know if water for aquatic patients is considered “good”. Throughout the conference, it will share what is necessary to assess water quality for all types of fish systems, where to find reference ranges for unusual species, understand the parameters and effects on behavior And fish health, and more. This workshop is an additional $ 70 and participants will earn 2 continuing education credits.

Design of an emergency animal refuge

Cynthia Faux, DVM, PHD, DACVIM (large animal), will run an interactive table session to explore the problems and challenges with which veterinary professionals face when working to establish temporary emergency shelters in their community with the parties taking. Thanks to the workshop, participants will work together to create an emergency refuge using realistic challenges and scenarios. This workshop will start at 2:00 p.m. and will end at 5:50 p.m., participants winning 4 continuing education credits.

Monday March 3

Interactive case discussion of problematic behavior

In this hour and an interactive workshop of 50 minutes from 10:00 am, participants will discuss the basic approach to the diagnosis and treatment of general behavioral problems in canine patients. Directed by Margaret Gruen, DVM, MVPH, PHD, DACVB and Julia Albright, DVM, MA, DACVB, participants will work in small groups to design treatment plans for selected cases and have the chance to submit questions and examples of case in advance. This workshop is an additional $ 70 and participants will earn 2 cases of continuing education.

Grayson Doss, DVM, dip. ACZM, will direct this interactive workshop to cover the basics of radiography in small species of mammals of common pet. Tuesday March 4

Intensive care training camp: what you need to know day 1

Display your skills: dental equipment, maintenance, sharpening and identification

In one of the latest WVC workshops, Denise Rollings, CVT, VTS (dentistry) and Chelsea Musick will teach participants the skills related to the appropriate use of dental equipment in veterinary practices. The skills that will be taught include ultrasonic and hand scaling stations, identification of dental bair, importance and use of magnifying glass, identification of extraction tools, etc. The course is interactive for additional costs of $ 70. Participants can earn 3 continuing education credits for the 2:00 p.m. session to 4:50 p.m.
