The latest early elections in Canada, which took place in Nova Scotia last fall, saw a new record for the participation rate.

No Nova Scotia elections have revealed that around 45% of people had elected the November Snap survey on the East Coast, down 10 percentage points from 2021. The result has been the first time that the Participation rate was below 50% in the maritime province and its lower -edpurt.

The moment of the election of Nova Scotia seemed to play a role in disengagement.

“The participation rate was lower than it was generally, with regard to the enthusiasm of voters. For me, I have the impression that the election was not really captivating, I do not think that there is really a general anger in the face of a first electoral call “, Lori Turnbull, professor at the management faculty of the University of Dalhousie, told Global News earlier this month.
