Toronto – Toronto traffic ventilation seems to have once again forced another team from the National Hockey League to go to the ice.

The Hurricanes of Caroline, who were in the city to play the Maple Leafs on Saturday, published a video on social networks which shows a row of people from behind while walking along a snow path in downtown Toronto .

The legend indicates: “When a traffic jam of Toronto means a pre-match walk to the ice.”

The Canadian press sent an email to the media representatives with the Hurricanes asking for more details.

This has already happened – the Utah NHL team was forced to go to their match against the Maple Leafs after their bus was stuck in Toronto traffic on Sunday evening at the end of November, which at the ‘period, the mayor, Olivia Chow, accused the parade of Santa Claus.

And in June, the former member of the One Direction group, Niall Horan, had to travel the bumper traffic to bumper to go to his concert in Scotiabank Arena.

The Leafs beat the Hurricanes 6-3 during the Saturday competition.

Progressive conservative leader Doug Ford, who now presents himself to a re -election, described the city’s blockage to “embarrass” after the incident of last year with the NHL UTAH team.

Ford also said that people “avoid the city center” due to traffic, and he highlighted the cycle paths as part of the problem.

Toronto traffic was also a problem last week when the Toronto region’s commercial council published its congestion action plan for the city. He declared that the arterial routes are “assaulted of the construction which occupy entire routes for months or years” and that the problem has been aggravated with cycle paths, street parking, cafes of the way Street and taxi and driving vans.

“It is now almost routine to visit sports and entertainment celebrities to publish social media clips by abandoning trapped vehicles as they rush to their destinations,” said a letter included at the start of the action plan CEO of the Board of Directors, Giles Gherson.

“The goods remain inactive when they should be on store shelves. Residents choose to stay at home all together – avoiding family meetings, new job opportunities and work updating. Our economy, our business and our global quality of life are seriously damaged, ”added Gherson.

Chow, in response to the plan, said in a statement on Thursday that the city tackled many of the questions raised in the report.

She said that the city had brought a dedicated staff to make construction projects work together to keep the roads open and hiked the road occupation costs to better reflect the costs of such road closures.

Chow said that the city also freezes public transport rates for the second consecutive year, and will have 100 traffic agents working by the end of 2025.

“Congestion is a problem that has an impact on us all. Whether you are stuck in a car or stuck on the transit (the result is the same, missed appointments, to be late for work or lost time with family and friends, “said Chow in the press release.

Ontario adopted a bill on the cycle path in November which will force municipalities to obtain the approval of the province to install cycle paths when they would remove a route for vehicles. The bill also removes the sections of cycle paths in Toronto and restores them in the form of lanes for the circulation of vehicles.
