A political conference in Washington, DC, who considers himself the alternative to the CPAC aligned by Trump was evacuated Sunday after a death threat against several of his speakers who criticized President Donald Trump.

Shortly afternoon on Sunday, the organizers of the Principles First Summit received an email threatening several of its high-level speakers and claiming to have planted pipe bombs on site, according to a copy of the email obtained by CNN , the conference organizers and Washington, DC Metropolitan Police of the Metropolitan Police Department.

The threat by email mentioned former national security advisor John Bolton and former US DC police officer Michael Fanone, who was one of those who defended the American Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

The email sender said that two pipe bombs had been placed at the JW Marriott hotel in DC which hosted the first summit of principles. The email also said that a pipe bomb would be placed in the mailbox of Bolton’s house in Maryland.

The organizers alerted their private security and the Metropolitan Police Department of the Columbia District for the threat, said the first founder of principles, Heath Mayo, at a press conference on Sunday evening. The hotel decided to evacuate the soil where the conference took place, according to Mayo.

“A more in -depth investigation revealed that the threat was not founded. This incident ended, “said the Metropolitan Police Department of the Columbia District in a statement in CNN.

Police from the county of Montgomery were sent to the Bolton residence “this afternoon for a threat of reported bomb, which turned out to be unfounded,” the department said in a statement on CNN on Sunday.

The threat came from an e-mail address not found, and the sender said that he was intended to “honor the hostages J6 recently released”.

Mayo said on Sunday that they had not yet determined who had sent the e-mail targeting the conference. The police did not comment who threatened.

“We are not going to be intimidated, we are not going to fold the knee. This type of threat to the physical security of us, members of the congress, is a real problem in the United States of America. And that is not going to be held, “said Mayo to the participants when the conference resumed later Sunday afternoon.

The principles of the first summit present themselves as an alternative to the conservative political action conference more aligned by Trump.

The email has also threatened other speakers, including the governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, the former American representative Adam Kinzinger, the former Lieutenant-Governor of Georgia Geoff Duncan, the retired Federal Court J. J. Michael Luttig and businessman Mark Cuban.

The organizers said on Sunday that they had increased security following an incident involving Enrique Tarrio, the former chief of proud boys. Tarrio was Seditious conspiracy convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in the attack on January 6, but was released from prison last month following a Presidential forgiveness of Trump.

Tarrio appeared at the first conference of principles on Saturday and faced Fanone and the former police sergeant of the American Capitol. Harry Dunn, who also helped defend the Capitol during the January 6 attack.

Tarrio called Fanona and Dunn “Cowards” and told them to “continue to walk”, when a group of his supporters filmed and followed both through the hotel.

“You are a traitor in this country,” said Fanone in response to Tarrio insults.

Confirming the incident with Tarrio, Fanona told CNN on Sunday that he thought that Trump’s pardons had embraced Tarrio and others convicted of January 6.

Fanone and Dunn were frank criticisms of the rioters of January 6 and testified Before the restricted committee of the Chamber which investigated the attack on the American Capitol and tried to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

Responding to Trump’s broad pardons for the convicts of January 6, Fanone, who was the target of threats, told CNN on the day of the inauguration: “My family, my children and I are less sure today Because of Donald Trump and his supporters. ”

Tarrio was in DC to attend the conservative political action conference, which was held from Thursday to Saturday.

“We are like gods,” said Joe Biggs, a proud boy whose sentence of 17 years for his role in the attack on the Capitol was commissioned, said to CNN Thursday When asked how he had been received by the participants in the CPAC.

Friday, Tarrio was also arrested and briefly held by the American Capitol police for having attacked a demonstrator outside the American Capitol.

Tarrio and other participants forgiven on January 6 held a press conference in front of the American Capitol, when a woman put a mobile phone near Tarrio’s face, according to police from the American Capitol.

The police then saw Tarrio hitting the phone and women’s arm and Tarrio was arrested for simple assault, the American Capitol police told CNN.

Talk to a CPAC journalist After his release, Tarrio said that the counterproter had first established physical contact with him.

“I am 100% sure that the charges will be abandoned,” said Tarrio.
