The plans of the Rock Creek Entertainment District are now authorized to go before after a judge of the Cleveland County ruled that a petition to bring the district to a vote of the people was invalid, according to a Koco 5 News report at Oklahoma City.
In 2023, plans were published for an entertainment district of $ 1 billion in Norman, and despite the advantages it would bring to the University of Oklahoma and to its surrounding community – including a new arena of Basketball – Norman residents of Several were not interested.
Last year, the voters asked that there was a vote after the Norman municipal council approved the project, given that $ 600 million in sales tax would be used to finance it.
