I grew up in a cereal farm in the Midwest and I was a gardener passionate about my adult life. I retired last year and I immediately signed up for the Smith County Master Gardener program, because it was at the top of my post-retired task list.
On the way to volunteer with my new gardening tribe at the Tyler Botanical Gardens, I had to grove everything I had in common with these incredible new friends. So, in legendary fashion Jeff Foxworthy, I thought I shared some of the things with which the master gardeners identify. If you can tell yourself, I strongly suggest that you consider the Smith County Garden Master Program.
If you pull the weeds in public places or the construction sites of others, you could be a master gardener.
If you always keep a blanket at the back of your car in case you spend a plant store, you could be a master gardener.
If you have more plant photos than people on your phone, you could be a master gardener.
If you offer advice on plants to complete foreigners at the plant store, you could be a master gardener.
If your definition of a Texas superstar has nothing to do with athletics, you could be a master gardener. (Texas superstars are a collection of plants that thrive in Texas)
If you proudly sported a gardener manicure, you could be a master gardener. Besides, knowingly knowing what a manicure of a gardener is, you could be a master gardener.
If you know how to worry about your NPK (nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus), you could be a master gardener.
If you have submitted an identification correction of the plant to the image of this application, you could be a master gardener.
If your idea for an image book is a catalog of flowers and bulb, you could be a master gardener.
If you speak shamelessly to your plants, you could be a master gardener.
If you have counseling sessions with bees in your courtyard to bite your hand that nourishes them, you could be a master gardener.
If you have a “bag of bag”, you could be a master gardener
If you adjust your irrigation several times a year, you could be a master gardener. Besides, if you have a romantic relationship with your irrigation system, you could be a master gardener.
If you give spare plants to your friends and family, you could be a master gardener. If you only give them to the people you feel confident will take care of it, you should certainly register for the next gardener lesson. The class takes place once a year in January, but you have to register in October and attend a November orientation.
