A baby was urgently transported to Edmonton hospital after being attacked by a dog in Entwistle, Alberta, about 80 kilometers west of the capital.
The RCMP confirmed that the officers had been called to an address in Entwistle shortly after 7 a.m. on Sunday.
On Sunday, an ambulance was seen outside the detachment of the RCMP in Evansburg, after the officers responded to the neighboring community of Entwistle earlier during the day.

Contacted by Global News, Alberta Health Services said in a statement that Stars Air Ambulance had been called around 7:15 a.m. on February 16 and that “a patient, an infant, was transported in critical condition”.
Stars confirmed that the child had been taken to the children’s hospital in Stollery.
