The Holy See Press Office publishes an update on Pope Francis’s health while he is treated for a respiratory infection in the hospital, saying that he was resting well and the treatment is going normally.

By Vatican News

“Pope Francis has rested well during the night. His clinical condition is stable, and the diagnostic and therapeutic process prescribed by medical staff continues. Reading and rest.”

The director of the Holy See press office, Matteo Bruni, published this declaration to journalists on Sunday afternoon concerning the state of Pope Francis after his hospitalization.

Friday, Pope Francis was admitted to the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome for a fight during bronchitis.

After medical laboratory tests, his pharmacological therapy was adjusted and he did not experience episodes of fever.

The Pope’s medical staff ordered “complete rest” to facilitate their recovery, so the special public of the jubilee for artists and the world of culture was canceled on Saturday, and Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonca, prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and education, celebrated Saint Messe on his behalf on Sunday morning.

The text prepared by Pope Francis for Sunday reflection Angelus was published by the Holy See press office as the Holy Father asked.
