2025 marks the 10th anniversary of International Women and Girls Day in Science (IDWGS) and the 30th anniversary of the Beijing declaration and platform for actionTwo important stages in the global effort aimed at promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Gender equality in science is crucial to building a better future for everyone, but women and girls continue to face barriers and systemic prejudices in the pursuit of scientific careers.
The gender gap commission in science requires breaking stereotypes, promoting models to inspire girls, support the progress of women through targeted programs and promote inclusive environments through policies and actions which promote inclusion, diversity and equity.
