We talked with Maura about the way he found his way in the world of Wolf entertainment, what life looks like and what she admires most about her character.
Q: How did you win your role as Lieutenant Jessica Brady Law and order?
A: Everything happened very quickly. My agents called and told me that I had offered a job on Law and orderAnd I then had a conversation with producer Rick Eid who explained to me what they had in mind for the character of Jessica Brady. I was intrigued by what they had planned for her and very excited to work with the casting, so I started next week. I jumped a little in it.
Q: You have previously starred Law and orderappearing in the second season of the show. How was it back to the show, this time as part of the team?
A: For me, there is nothing similar to return to the show. If I remember correctly, my character for this guest place, Patricia Blaine, was mainly a witness for the accusation. What I do now is completely different.
Q: What does a typical day look like on the set for you?
A: A typical day on the set varies for me. Most of the time, I am in the enclosure, so I spend a lot of time working with Reid and Mehcad or question people. Sometimes I will be on the field with the guys on a crime scene, which is really fun. I also testified before the court several times. So I have the chance to work with all the actors, what I like.
Q: Do you have a favorite moment or story on the set you can share?
A: Well, yesterday was quite fun. It was a beautiful day in New York, and we drew outside, by Radio City. In addition, I must say “Make room, police!” It was an exciting first.
Q: Episode 10 of this season of Law and order has become an ER meeting, with your former co-star Mekhi Phifer Guest with and Eriq Lasalle Directing. How was it to bring together with Mekhi and Eric and to work together again?
A: Eriq La Salle made my very first episode of the show, so it was so pleasant to see a familiar face. He is a wonderful director and really guided me in a creative way in the establishment of this character. I am deeply grateful. And Mekhi, well, I like Mekhi Phifer. Complete stop. He brought such a calm and powerful presence to this role. Acting again with him was incredible, and it is super fun to go out with it.
Q: What will you admire the most at Lieutenant Brady?
A: I like Brady because she is a woman who did not rely on charm to move forward in this world. I think that his work is his life right now, and even if I don’t think it’s a particularly healthy way of living, it’s fun to play someone with such a singular focus. I can’t really imagine what she is doing during her days off.
Q: What is your favorite episode of Law and order?
A: This is an impossible question!
