Minneapolis – Some owners of local businesses say that President Trump Immigration repression has an impact on their results.
The Latin Business owners of the Midtown Global Market say that sales have dropped and that they think that fear is the driver.
Despite the acclamations and even a great presence at the Frequently Minnesota State, for Manny Gonzalez by Manny’s Tortas, business is difficult these days.
“They are (frightened). It was a big change, we can say it. My sales fell like 20% and it’s not only me,” said Gonzalez.
The owner of El Taco Torro, Jose Haro, says that his business is down 25%.
“I can see the difference with my community. They are a little afraid to go out for the whole situation, everything that is happening,” he said.
Some companies from Midtown Global Market say that even Latinos who are legally here and have all their documents are afraid to go out.
“The community that we are a little close and we support each other,” said Haro.
“I am worried. It’s not just my business, it’s companies on the world market,” said Gonzalez.
New customers and long -standing customers are upset.
“It’s really heartbreaking,” said Aaron Johnson. “It hurts that whoever takes a hit, but the way it takes a blow is much worse.”
