Kevin Costner shared its point of view that American policy should not have an impact on how Hollywood films are made.
Before the service performance on January 20, President Donald Trump appointed Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson and Jon Voight as his special ambassadors to Hollywood in order to bring back the cases which, according to him, had been lost against “foreign countries” .
During an interview with Fox News Digital on Saturday, Costner, 70, explained that he did not think that a change was necessary in Hollywood with the advent of Asset Administration and filmmakers should focus on theater lovers when creating content.
“I think you make the best possible film for an audience and that you understand that … You have a chance. From time to time, you have a chance to do something significant,” he said in MICHAEL RUBIN FAITATION ASSISTANCE New Orleans.

Costner continued, “and sometimes it’s just pure pleasure. The films don’t have to be important, but they must have an audience in mind.”
“I think that does not matter for the party in the office,” he added. “These are people sitting in the dark. It has nothing to do with politics.”
In June, Costner left his successful program “Yellowstone” due to planning and contract problems which prevented him from focusing on his civil war drama in four parts “Horizon: an American saga,” in which he played and managed. The actor supported the series of films with $ 38 million in his own money, calling him a project passionate about almost 30 years ago.

After “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1” worked badly at the box office, Costner defended the film and said that the public would appreciate the saga over time.
“These are people sitting in the dark. It has nothing to do with politics.”
“I faced life with people who are dying,” said Costner E! News. “But they cannot be depressed from ‘horizon’, because now it’s from their hands. And they could point to the finish line – well, that’s what he did at the box office – But I know that this film will play for the next 50 years. “
“There is a moment when you want (your children) to see this film,” he said. “To understand that this is what their (ancestors) have gone through. It is not only a Western, it is a migration story and what they had to do to survive. And I am really proud. “”

During an interview in February 2024 with Forbes, Costner, who previously made the films “Dances With Wolves”, “Open Range” and “The Postman”, explained his approach to cinema.
“I do not play as much on my database as I play people who are ready to go to the theater and take them to a place they did not imagine,” he said. “I do not ignore my fans at any level, but I do not answer the idea of anyone except myself, with regard to a story that I want to share.”
Double Academy prize winner admitted that he does not like to make films, saying that “kills me”.
