Over the years, Warner Bros. tried to monetize his catalog of older films thanks to various subscription streaming services, including Filmstruck – that Stop less than a year after its launch in 2018.
Now Warner Bros. Entertainment has quietly adopted a new approach to bring its content to YouTube to cultivate its catalog of films for digital advertising revenues.

Since the beginning of 2025, the company has published 31 films on YouTube channels belonging to Warner Bros., all available for free. The titles are varied and cut on genres, with some films on the list dating from decades. The films include “Mutiny on the Bounty” with Marlon Brando, “The adventures of Pluto Nash” with Eddie Murphy, “Oh, God!” With George Burns in the titular role, “The Mission” with Robert de Niro, “Waiting for Guffman”, “Return of the Living Dead Part II” and the documentary of climate change of Leonardo DiCaprio “The 11th Hour”.
The highest batch is “Mr. Nice guy ”, the 1997 action comedy with Jackie Chan (In the above photo), which has more than 16 million views since WB published on January 1 on YouTube. WB release of films on YouTube was Spotted by Gizmodo.
Warner Bros. previously dismissed films in YouTube for The YouTube Films & TV section of YouTube. What is new is that the studio, in a test with the video platform, now makes free titles available on Warner Bros.’s own YouTube channels. (like Warner Bros. Classics) to make them easier to find. Meanwhile, WBD cut the agreements Bachelor content on free platforms and supported by Roku and Tubi advertising. It should be noted that none of the movies in streaming for free on YouTube is currently available on Max, the Warner Bros. subscription streaming service. Discovery.
