Washington (7news) – According to DC officials, DC of DC, is now a Carefirst arena as part of a 10 -year partnership which includes additional investments in the Congress Heights district.
Dozens who entered the arena noticed on Thursday the new name of the Arena Bowl arena while DC chiefs celebrate a new partnership with Carefirst Bluecross Blueshild. DC events operates the 4,200 arenas and hosts home games for the WNBA Washington and the Go-Go of the NBA League City.

The agreement is part of a partnership over 10 years with the company, which, according to officials, includes $ 2 million for the development of programs on the St. Elizabeths East campus. Since 2015, the region has already seen several residences and medical centers built.
The mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, who spoke during the Reveal event, also announced an opening date of April 15 for the Cedar Hill GW Health Regional Medical Center.
“We take our actions and our activities in the community,” said Angie Gates, president and chief executive officer of Events DC.
Once open, the installation would provide primary, dental and behavioral health services, substances consumption advice and a pharmacy, officials said.
