Direct relief announces the latest health funds from the health fund

Direct Relief announced today the last series of subsidies granted through its health fund, which helps organizations working to eliminate health disparities and improve the quality of health care in bad communities served in the United States.

This last financing and support cycle – totaling more than $ 8 million is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Abbvie Foundation, Eli Lilly and Company and Mackenzie Scott. Since its launch in 2021, the fund has provided more than $ 59 million to 182 organizations concerning the deep causes of health inequality in their communities.

“Organizations receiving support from the For Health Equity Fund are on the front line of the fight against systemic obstacles that have an impact on health results,” said Dr. Byron Scott, Directorial Director of Direct Relief and Co -President of the Fund For Health Equity. “We are proud to continue to support their work and grateful for their tireless efforts to ensure more equitable access to care.”

The Abbvie Foundation Committed $ 10 million Over Five Yearsâ € ¯to the Fund for Health Equityâ € ¯in 2020. Lilly also supported the fund with a commitment of $ 5 million at the beginning of 2021, as part of the Lilly 30 × 30 effort which aims to improve access to quality health care for 30 million people living Each year in resource -limited environments by 2030.

With the support of Lilly’s commitment, Direct Relief was able to distribute part of its health fund for 12 winners across the United States since 2021 and four new winners in 2025.

The For Health Equity Fund continues to grow, supporting a wide range of community organizations addressing issues such as chronic diseases, maternal and child health, mental health services and culturally competent care.

  • Gail Small, JD, chief chief, citizen of the Northern Cheyenne tribe

Since its creation, the For Health Equity Fund has provided vital resources to organizations working to extend access to health care, strengthen community health programs and reduce disparities in care. The last group of beneficiaries joins an increasing network of Changemakers committed to building a fairer and equitable health system for all.
