“Over the next two years, Sequent will be the world market leader in online vote,” Shai Bargil told Israel21c.
Negotiation is the co -founder and CEO of SequentialDescribed as the first verifiable and transparent online voting platform in the world in the world, with offices in Israel, Spain and the United States.
Founded in 2022, the startup introduced an online voting solution based on cryptography and verifiable for private and public elections. Cryptography is the process of coding information so that only the person to which a message was intended to read it.
The platform is built to ensure the confidentiality of voters, voting verifiability and system transparency. The objective is to guarantee the confidentiality of voters and elections to the test of voters.

“There are many companies in the field of digital democracy, which includes digital vote,” explains Bargil.
“But they all work as non -profit organizations, which is why they fail; It is a double blow because you must always justify the gifts, ”he adds.
“The quantity of resources you need to invest to create a reliable online online voting platform is astronomical; This requires a business model. »»
Bargil, who has a diploma in software engineering, noticed this market vacuum cleaner when he studied for his master’s degree in political science.
Online voting initiatives normally appear around electoral time within a short time and are generally riddled with problems, explains Bargil.
“There are academic or government organizations with budgetary ceilings which are mainly in charge of these projects, which never meet the standards of precision, security and reliability.” He claims.
“However, if you really build a sustainable and scalable business model around such a platform, there is a money engine that advances progress.”
The gain
Bargil refused to say exactly how much money has collected, but added that “a few good million dollars” have already been invested in the development of the platform.
Quick advance until 2025, and Sequent has successfully completed more than 200 elections in 10 countries, with 3.6 million votes on its platform, mainly providing solutions to local municipalities and government organizations, as well as in the private sector .

In collaboration with the Philippine Electoral Committee, the Soment SaaS solution (software as a service) will be deployed in the national elections of 2025, allowing 1.7 million Filipino voters from overseas in 76 countries to vote online online .
This year too, Sequent is about to enter the digital voting markets in South America, Canada and the United States.
Each voter obtains a unique personal link to a web interface compatible with any device (no download required). After voting, the voter obtains a receipt to follow the vote throughout the elections and check that it is properly completed. The interface of the software electoral manager allows managers to configure, simulate, control and analyze the entire electoral cycle.
Bargil admits that the activity of the company is subject to regulations in a given country.
“For example, in Israel, there is still no regulation that allows digital vote; But if in the future we would be able to offer digital solutions to the Israeli elections, we would be very happy to do so. »»
Find the perfect co -founders
The startup employs 16 people in all its offices, including the two co -founders of Bargil, based in Madrid: David Ruescas, current research manager of the company; And Eduardo Robles, CTO of Sequent.

“I was looking for partners. A consultant, who is in fact a leading expert in electoral technology in the United States, said to me: “There are two guys in Spain who already do what you want to do; Go talk to them. “”
Since the three co-founders were already working separately on the idea of an online voting platform for years before the company’s official launch, they had a product ready for the market in the months following the Foundation.
From registration to the vote
Bargil claims that the plan is to become the main provider of digital electoral services in the world.
“From online vote to the registration of voters and all kinds of other aspects linked to the digital elections,” notes the negotiation.
“Our solution is the best on the market, both in terms of technology and university research that we use,” he says.
What is the meaning of the name of the company?
“A sequence is essentially the logical result of a series of operations that occur when you try to solve a mathematical problem,” says Bargil.
“If you go through the entire actions sequence that our platform performs, you get the logical result – of the elections you can trust.”
