Trina Hunt’s husband was charged as part of his death.
Trina, 48, was reported to the Port Moody police service on January 18, 2021.
His body was found on March 29, 2021 near Hope, south of Silver Creek.
Iain Hunt, 52, was accused of a leader in human remains.
This accusation occurs when a person neglects to carry out their legal obligation to bury a dead human body, or if a person interferes in an inappropriate, indecent or unworthy manner with a dead human body or human remains.

“The rest of an accusation does not dilute the loss and pain endured by the family and the friends of Trina,” said the SGT. Freda Fong de (The Investigation team on integrated homicides) said Ihit. “There is still a long way to go while the community continues to heal its tragic death.”
Global News confirmed that Aain Hunt had been released from the guard. He should appear in court on March 5.
Asked about the accusations against Iain, his father, Dennis, told Global News that his son was “absolutely” innocent and said: “He was not involved with this”.
Fong said that Ihit was still open to the possibility of new accusations that are brought in the case.
She said that she could not comment on the death of Trina or the exact date of her death.
It is believed that the alleged offense occurred on January 16, 2021. Iain pointed out only Trina disappeared before January 18, 2021 – two days later.
Fong said that she could confirm this information but could not comment more.
