Eby said the province will try to identify British Columbia and Canadian products in stores. This announcement means that alcohol made in the United States will be put back on the shelves of British Columbia.
Eby said he wanted to take Trump to work with the Canadian government, but he said it was skeptical that in 29 days, the country will be back in the same position in which it is now.

He added that the province is working with business owners and local governments to diversify and decompose interprorcal trade barriers.

“It’s not to punish the Americans,” said Eby. “It is nothing else. This is in response to the rates that have been put in place by the United States. “But this is what British Columbia companies will do, and we will support them to do so to ensure that they protect jobs for the British while we diversify our economy around the world.”
