The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks designed one of the most amazing professions early Sunday morning, Exchange of Luka Dončić for Anthony Davis and a choice of recovery in 2029. Time will tell us how much it will have an impact on the two franchises, as well as the wider landscape of the NBA.

Is it the biggest trade in the history of the NBA? Where does it rank in all sports? For the moment, it is certainly one of the most surprising since few people outside the Lakers and Mavericks seemed to know that Dončić was even available.

Here is an overview of 10 other memorable professions in the history of sport – in chronological order, and not of the impact. We will let you debate their importance ranking.

Babe Ruth in Yankees (1919)

The sale of Babe Ruth in Yankees for $ 100,000 is still classified as the most sadly famous trade in the history of sport. He has become one of the best players in sport history, retiring with 714 circuits, and created a dynasty for Yankees. The Red Sox were left with the curse of the bambino.

Wilt Chamberlain at the Philadelphia 76ers (1965)

It was the first of the two professions that change the league involving Wilt. He was 28 years old and on average more than 30 points for the warriors of San Francisco. In return, the Warriors picked up Lee Shaffer, Paul Neumann and Connie Dierking of Philadelphia. Not exactly the best transport. The Sixers then beat the Warriors in the 1967 NBA finals.

It was also only the first successful trade involving Wilt. He finally asked for an exchange of Philadelphia, and the Sixers sent him to the Lakers for Darrall Imhoff, Archie Clark and Jerry Chambers in 1968. It was the first time that a current NBA MVP exchange the season that followed. With the Lakers, Chamberlain won his second NBA title in 1972.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at Los Angeles Lakers (1975)

Then known as Lew Alcindor, Kareem was already one of the best NBA players and wanted to get out of Milwaukee when the Lakers landed. It has forever transformed the franchise. Kareem helped the Lakers win five championships and his record for marking all time NBA took place for decades until another laker, LeBron James, did not beat him.

Wayne Gretzky at the Los Angeles Kings (1988)

When a move is simply marked “the profession” and everyone knows who he is talking about, it’s great. Gretzky was the best sports player and built a dynasty with Edmonton’s Oilers. Its move to Los Angeles sparked the popularity of NHL in the United States.

Herschel Walker at Minnesota Vikings (1989)

The biggest trade in the history of the NFL has led to a dynasty for Dallas Cowboys. The cowboys sent it to the Vikings in an agreement that grew up to include the charges of San Diego, 18 players and the draft choices. The choices were essential for the cowboys, which were in the middle of a 1-15 season and used them to take players, including Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson and Russell Maryland.

With Walker, the Vikings were eliminated during the divisional round of the 1989 season qualifiers and did not make the playoffs the following two seasons. This is why this is considered one of the most unbalanced professions in history.

Ricky Williams in New Orleans (1999)

The saints exchanged each choice they had in the draft of the 1999 NFL, in addition to two of their first three choices in the NFL 2000 draftIn Washington for the right to go from n ° 12 to n ° 5 and to take the ball carrier from the University of Texas, Ricky Williams. How did it work for the saints? Well, they dismissed Mike Ditka, their head coach the following season. Williams then succeeded with the Miami dolphins.

Marshall Faulk at the Rams of Saint-Louis (1999)

It was one of the few professions that worked for the two teams. Faulk totaled 2,227 yards at the head of the NFL of the fray during the 1998 season and sought to renegotiate his contract. Armed with a young quarter-rear named Peyton Manning, the colts have rather exchanged their star as a ball carrier for second and fifth round recovery choices. Faulk helped train the “biggest show on the lawn” in St. Louis, won a super bowl and went to another with the Rams. The colts have made the playoffs in 11 of the next 12 seasons and have also won a Super Bowl.

Alex Rodriguez at the New York Yankees (2004)

The Texas Rangers signed Rodriguez to a $ 252 million contract at 10 years and an industry in 2000. The contract finally became too much a financial burden for the franchise, despite the stellar game of Rodriguez. With A -Rod, which came out of an Al MVP season in 2003, the Rangers sent him to the Yankees for Alfonso Soriano and the Prospect Joaquin Arias – while agreeing to pay part of the remaining salary of Rodriguez.

Shaquille O’Neal in Miami Heat (2004)

There is a common theme in this list, with the most recent blockbuster in the NBA – Los Angeles Lakers are at the center of many most monumental sports offers. Shaq and Kobe Bryant did not get along exactly, despite having recently won three championships together. The Lakers ended up sending O’Neal to the heat of Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, Brian Grant and a future choice of recovery in the first round which became Jordan Farm.

The Heat won a championship with O’Neal two years later. The Lakers finally recovered, as they always seem to do.

Mookie Betts in Dodgers (2020)

Betts entered his last season of Control with the Red Sox, and Boston was motivated to reduce pay. This led them to send one of the best players in the game – with the launcher David Price – to the Voltigator Alex Verdugo, the receiver Connor Wong and the Prospect de Land Throw Downs. Good for the Dodgers, who won two World Series with Betts. Not so much for the Red Sox.
